Pulper and washing line

Kelagur Estates · 120 member farmers

Kelagur sells most of its crop as raw cherry. A pulper lets it deliver graded parchment instead — several times the price for the same coffee, every year.

India harvests November to February, opposite Rwanda, which means this station fills the gap in the catalogue when East Africa is between crops.

The station

Smallholders in the Baba Budan hills, where coffee first reached India. Blossom showers in March set the crop and picking runs from November — a different calendar entirely, and the reason the forecasting model carries one per origin.
